OCD Showcase Update

back to all news »

Hey Folks, John Moore here, curator of the OCD showcase. Just writing each one of you with an update on the event. Everything is going as planned, all films are burnt to the screening disc and will be viewed in good old San Diego on the 29th. First, let me just express my deepest thanks for your contribution to this event. I have already received many messages from people who say they cannot wait to see the films.

All the films look wonderful, but if you have a higher quality video please send it my way. You can use the protocol as last time with wetransfer or yourfilelink. Below is the short description of the event that will appear in the program.

The 1st Annual OCD Animation Festival will allow the audience to see the world through the eyes and thoughts of the OCD mindset. We will showcase between 15 and 20 films about OCD, most of which will be produced by OCD sufferers. In addition to presenting these animations, the well-known painter, Dennis Ryan, has planned to display samples from his series “Kick The Faucet”, inspired by his contamination fears. Attendees will be given the opportunity to become critics and vote for their favorite animation. Discussion will also follow the showing. Please note: due to possibly uncomfortable and/or disturbing scenes or themes, this presentation is not recommended for children 8-years-old or younger.

It’s going to be a really exciting event. I have been honored to have helped organize this. I only wish that this festival was around when I was a kid.
